ZF’s Ambitious and Retro Approach: The Tudor New Black Bay 1958 GMT “COKE Bezel” Watch

The case continues the classic 39mm size of the 1958 model, and its thickness has been reduced by nearly 2mm compared to other models, now measuring 12.8mm. The watch’s iconic retro elements are all inspired by the Tudor 7924 Submariner launched in 1958. The red and black bezel design, resembling the colors of the Coca-Cola packaging, has affectionately earned the nickname “COKE Bezel” from the public. The red and black aluminum bezel offers an ancient, vintage texture, further enhancing the retro feel.

On the matte black dial, the hands, hour markers, and scales are all treated with gold to match the bezel. One of Tudor’s classic trademarks—the “snowflake” hour hand—slowly moves as time passes. In addition to the three timekeeping hands, the second-time-zone hand also features a snowflake design at the tail, pointing to the red and black “COKE Bezel.” Additionally, the hour markers and all four hands are coated with Swiss Super-LumiNova grade A luminous material to ensure excellent luminosity in dark conditions.

The watch comes with a three-link riveted stainless steel bracelet, equipped with Tudor’s T-fit clasp, which allows for convenient micro-adjustments.
